I transformed their static, problematic, and hard-to-maintain site into a dynamic web platform developed with Django. I turned it into a 'Portal' where the Association's daily activities are published. Through this development, we converted a dull, outdated static website into the core of the association's marketing and communication strategy. They were very pleased. Thanks to Django technology, new updates and features can be integrated swiftly and efficiently whenever required.

From Static Site to Dynamic Platform

The Association of Civil Engineers of Cancun had a static website that was highly problematic and difficult to maintain or update. The lack of dynamism and technical limitations prevented effective communication of the Association's activities and failed to keep their audience engaged.

The challenge was to completely transform this digital presence into a modern, dynamic, and scalable platform that could grow alongside the institution's needs and facilitate content management without requiring advanced technical knowledge.

News Portal and Institutional Blog

I converted the site into a 'Portal' where we publish the Association authorities' daily activities concerning the community and regional institutions.

I manage the Association's blog, which showcases these news stories on the landing page, ensuring site dynamism, audience loyalty, and communicating the impact of the Association's actions.

This system keeps members and the community constantly informed, strengthening the sense of belonging and institutional relevance.

Membership and Registration System

I incorporated an online registration system for Members and their Student Chapter (members who have not yet graduated), eliminating manual processes and facilitating administrative management.

The system allows interested parties to sign up easily, manage their data, and track their membership status autonomously, while the Association gains organized and up-to-date information on its member base.

Courses and Workshops Management

I developed a comprehensive system for publishing and registering for the Association's Courses and Workshops, fully automating a process that was previously manual and error-prone.

Members can view the available academic offer, register online, receive automatic confirmations, and manage their enrollments from a single place.

The Association staff has exclusive views to track course registrations, manage capacity, send communications, and generate participation reports.

Institutional Sponsorship Program

I introduced various sponsorship plans for the Association in both Institutional Partner (Platinum, Gold, and Silver) and Event Partner (Platinum and Gold) categories.

I implemented dedicated sections for promotional actions: strategic banners, sponsor profiles, sponsor carousels, a dedicated sponsor page, and the featured 'Sponsor of the Month' section.

This system not only generates additional revenue for the Association but also offers valuable visibility to the companies supporting the institution, creating a shared-value ecosystem.

Exclusive Member Area

I created an exclusive access area for Members (Social Network style) where they can access exclusive information like photo albums of Association events, manage course enrollments, and complete their profile with their specialty and contact details.

For members who are Certified Site Supervisors (Peritos), a differential fee grants them a prominent, highlighted position in the Expert Directory, increasing their visibility to potential clients and adding value to their membership.

This private area strengthens the sense of community, facilitates professional networking, and adds tangible benefits to the Association membership.

Complete Overhaul and Administrative Tools

The site includes comprehensive management of the Association's agenda and exclusive views for staff to track registrations for the Association, courses, sponsorship plans, information requests, and more.

All static sections were overhauled with an attractive, modern style: Enrollment Benefits, Board of Directors, the Association's bibliography, legislation, regulations, and forms organized by theme, Media Presence, Our History, Fee Tables, and more.

With this development, we converted a dull, outdated static website into the hub of the Association's marketing and communication strategy. Django technology ensures that new updates and features can be integrated very rapidly.
